El Nido beaches are so beautiful and the scenery so majestic

   As usual, Shore 2 Shore Travel did a great job :) Kaya nga Shore 2 Shore Travel na kami palagi whenever we have our yearly vacation. Hassle-free talaga, although there were some snags towards the end, but it was a small thing and did not detract from the overall experience.

Bong the driver picked us up on time and we were pleased to learn that we were the only passengers to El Nido. Ka Lui was a great choice and we were amazed by the ambience. The delivery of each course was greeted with yays and applause din, haha. Masarap lahat at naubos namin ang pagkain... I think this was when we decided to just pig out whenever food was offered to us kasi ang saya lang talaga! Accommodating din sina Bong, they put up with our requests for ATM runs and waiting while doing last minute shopping at Robinsons Place. Walang reklamo sa amin and they helped when we got to Marina Garden when we arrived at 7.30 pm -- talagang 5 hours pala ang biyahe from Puerto to El Nido. Haba lang pero we all slept in the van.

The next day Emma talked us through the overnight accommodation in Cadlao Island. May misgivings kasi yung iba kasi we thought that we will all be sleeping in tents. Hindi naman pala, may cottage and a bathroom separate. Sorry, we had to call it Creepy Island, though. Ang dilim na kasi tapos ang lakas pa ng hangin kaya namamatay yung gasera. Okay lang, adventure talaga ito, pero we avoided using the bathroom in the evening, baka pagpasok namin may unggoy na sa loob at mag-freak out lang kami. In fairness, ang ganda ng beach ni Cadlao. In the morning, we walked along the shoreline and swam until it was time to leave for Day 2 of the tour. My sister blurted out nga lang, "wildlife, you're so wild!" when we saw a snake (maliit nga lang kaya medyo cute pa) and monkeys hopping from tree to tree.

Of course, ang saya lang ng mga islands ng El Nido. Different siya from the snorkeling experience we had in Coron but the beaches were so beautiful and the scenery so majestic that napapatunganga na lang kami everytime we stopped at the islands. Ang linaw lang ng tubig ha! Props to Jun and his team for taking care of everything. Uupo na lang kami para mag-lunch/dinner/breakfast at bahala na sila afterwards. Ang galing lang talaga.

We really did not want the island tour hopping to end pero we have to go back to Marina and buy pasalubong -- which we also planned to do on our return to Puerto. I forgot nga lang that we have a different driver going back. Okay naman ang pabalik, they fetched us early but we had a bit of road trouble an hour into the ride -- na-flat ang gulong ng sasakyan ni Fort Wally kasi mabato ang daan at mabilis siya magpatakbo. Pero we got to Puerto around 11.45 and we had to drop by the Fort Wally office to unload our bags so we can have lunch and buy more pasalubong. The lady also accommodated our request to have someone bring us around to the shops. Nagpahiram siya ng 2 trikes nila, we only had to give the drivers tips for it.

Ay, medyo naconfuse lang kami kung saang Ka Inato kami pupunta. We thought it was the one near the airport pero the staff there told us that it's at San Miguel (?) pala. Pero okay lang, the grilled chicken was excellent and the soup they served was good. Ang saya ng kare kare and we had additional orders of grilled prawns and desserts.

The trike drivers recommended good places to buy gifts for the people back home. Hindi taga ang presyo at varied ang choices. We had to stop after two places, though, because we had to go the airport na.

All in all, I would like to go back -- if I could and work and budget were not an issue. Promise, when my parents come back next year, I'll bring them to Coron. With your help, of course.

Swim with Cebu's Gentle Giants

After Manila, Cebu is my next city of choice. It has all the convenience a city girl like me prefers – shopping – and they have quality local products, good dining choices - and quite cheap too, accessibility and convenience in going around, abundance of tropical fruits, and this is the only place whose lechon I could eat, huge modern malls, beaches and the blue green sea surrounds the entire province, and perfect summer weather all year round. What more can one ask for?

Just recently when I went to the local tourism office in Manila, and was asking “what’s new”, they said we have whale sharks in Cebu.

Having been to Cebu countless times and had even lived there for almost a year, I realized that the sunny weather is conducive to have whale sharks all year round, unlike Donsol, where whale shark watching is quite seasonal. The question is where exactly and if the encounter is worth going there for.

I asked if they had photos and they showed me the video they took. I couldn’t believe my eyes that the juvenile whale shark was that “maamo” following their boat. I’d want to have that too!

So immediately, I called friends, checked out tickets to Cebu, and a couple of weeks later, we were off to Cebu.

We left early and had breakfast on the road. Oslob was some 3-4 hours ride from the city, and having a private transportation, it was really a lot convenient getting off at the right place where the short orientation/briefing is commenced.

Then off we go in our local paddle boat. There were already some visitor boats in the area watching the whale sharks.  When we joined them, it was only minutes when we saw one passing by. We could hardly contain our excitement, and we plunged into the water!

Discovering Coron

“I’ve heard countless of times from friends about the beautiful islands here in the Philippines, and the “trending” destination is Palawan, particularly Coron. Hearing them rave about this so-called “paradise on earth” certainly piqued my interest, especially after knowing that this strip of island is one amongst a handful of undiscovered gems of our country. Alas, one blessed day, I got an invite from a dear friend to join him in the promo fare to Coron. And considering all the inclusions, this deal is indeed a steal! So without hesitation, I gave him my big and excited “YES!!”

Seeing the Palawan coast from the plane window, I knew right then that this trip is going to be my most unforgettable one, in a very pleasant way. Even before touchdown at Busuanga Airport, I couldn’t help but click away with my camera in order to capture the magnificent view from above!

A van was waiting at the airport to take us to Dive Link, our home in Palawan for three days. Check-in was a breeze, food was great, and the swimming pool was clean – enough leisure and comfort to keep us inside a rainy day. Plus, kudos to Dive Link’s friendly and efficient staff and crew!

True enough, there is so much to discover in Coron that it’s difficult to fit the entire trip in just three days! But even with only a couple of days at hand, there was no room for dull moments, as each day was arranged overflowing with sights and activities! We were able to climb and feel the serenity atop Mt. Tapias, relax afterwards in the Maquinit Spring, shop for trinkets and goodies at the local stores, and the highlight of the tour – island hopping! True enough, my friends weren’t exaggerating when they said that Palawan is worth the trip. No other words can best describe Palawan but beautiful. The glorious skies, the pristine waters, the intricate arrangement of coral reefs, the kaleidoscopic schools of fish – anything and everything I saw in Coron heightened my awe and reverence for our Creator.

                On that note, let me take this opportunity to give a huge shout-out to Terry of Shore 2 Shore for arranging this trip for us! Thank you for being very kind and accommodating to our requests. It was indeed a well-crafted and hassle-free trip. There will surely be a next time!”

White Beach of Puerto Galera

“Whenever I visit beautiful tourist places like Puerto Galera, it gives me more reason to be proud as a Filipino. It makes me realize that we are indeed blessed for having numerous natural wonders, just like the white beaches of Puerto Galera.

Puerto Galera, popularly known as “Galera,” is truly Mindoro’s pride. It is one of the country’s prime destinations not just for local travellers, but most especially for foreigners who wish to explore the wonderful dive sites in the Philippines.

Galera is not only a famed diving site. Beach lovers equally rave about its beautiful waters and shorelines. In fact, what sparked my never-ending love affair with the beach was when I first set foot on Galera. It was love at first sight with the clean, blue waters and long stretch of fine, powdery sand of Galera’s White Beach. What a truly mesmerizing sight!

The highlight of every vacation I take always has to do with the beach. I love island or beach hopping and staying in nice beach resorts. Just May of this year, I felt beyond blessed to be able to do both. Even though having tanned skin isn’t really my thing, I didn’t mind being toasted under the hot sun that time and made the most out of my stay, spending half the day swimming, snorkelling, and just lazing around the beach.

The surprises of Galera are not just in its excellent dive sites and wonderful beaches. This place also boasts of postcard-worthy sceneries. During late afternoon, have your cameras ready to capture the most romantic sunset view. And in just a little while, expect another thrilling spectacle, the newest attraction on White Beach – fire dance. We had dinner in a beachfront restaurant and had a good view of the fire dancers. At least two groups of skillful dancers impressed everyone that night. Their amazing performance is really a must-see!

Surely there are endless things to do in Galera that being even a tiny bit bored is out of the question. And even before you depart, just like me, you’ll surely be planning your the next trip to Galera... and the next, and the next, and the next.

I'm finally in Boracay!

   “It was late afternoon when I arrived. The fresh air breezed through as I stood on the very fine and blindingly white sand. I felt the cool, crystalline waters lapping my feet at each toss of the wave. My jaws were literally agape as I measured with my gaze the never-ending shoreline. Then slowly it started to sink in – I made it to everyone's dream island, I’m finally in Boracay!

With the island’s hypnotic beauty, I didn’t mind if I were to stay outdoors the entire time. But as I checked-in my room at Station 1’s Pearl of the Pacific, WOW, it was like a tug of war between the beach and the bed! The enormous king-size beckoned, and I couldn’t resist but to dive right in its soft cushion! Oh, it was pure bliss, spread-eagled on the comfortable bed as I watched TV that’s positioned bullseye in front.

Fully rested and recharged, I signed up for an island hopping tour the next day. It included a 4-hour outrigger banca (boat) tour that took us to the breathtaking beaches of Ilig-iligan and Puka Shell, and an interesting stopover as well to the Crocodile Island and Crystal Cove Island. I got to snorkel and see the underwater palace of Talubhan and Tambisan Reef. After feasting on the wonderful sights, I didn’t leave my tummy growling for a feast. We lunched at Tambisan Beach and made sure to leave a room for the sumptuous smorgasbord dinner. Yeah, I took a diet break and went carnivore for just a night. What with the array of mouth-watering food before me, it was just impossible not to give in!

Maybe the heavens conspired and kept me from doing the helmet dive and para-sailing, that way, I’d surely have a hundred and one reasons to visit Boracay again! Allow me to channel my inner Schwarzenegger and say “I’ll be back!” And for another perfectly arranged tour, I’d definitely make sure to contact Terry of Shore 2 Shore! Thank you, Terry! I really liked the hongkong hotel! the tour was ok though on the trip to the peak, super foggy. not so nice view. Master's hotel in Macau was not that cozy as compared to our hk hotel because the bed is not that comfy.  but thats fine since we only stayed for a night. the transfers were helpful as well.

The rest of the experience was ok… we got back to Manila before 5 pm… the transport service(van and driver) was good… just the hotel. I also recognize that you do not have control over everything that will happen during the trip.

The resto for our dinner served yummy food. We enjoyed our El Nido tour. The assigned boat man to us was nice though we weren't able to go to Payong Payong and was replaced with Entalula probably due to tide conditions. Hope to see you. My aunt wants to meet you. Everything went well for our Banaue trip except for the bus, it was too cold. On our trip back to Manila, passengers sealed the aircons with  packaging tape  to control the temperature. Hehe.

We enjoyed our trip to Batanes very much! We just had a few concerns with our booking. Good thing Batanes was too beautiful a place to let such mishaps affect our enjoyment. Overall, we still enjoyed Batanes, and the staff of Batanes Seaside were accommodating and friendly. Not a bad place actually, for a remote island.

Our Bangkok trip was good. The Hotel is new and easy to find. Since we went there coming from Cambodia and arrived midnight, the Tuktuk driver didnt know. The hotel staff was very accommodating when i called them to instruct us the way .. all in all it's good , thanks so much for the help.. it's a good thing that we were adventurous and very lots of patience with us .. hahaha.. hope to  to business with you in the future...

We enjoyed our Coron vacation because of good company and Coron is a natural beauty. We made additional arrangements to visit the Tapyas Steps/Cross, Maquinit hot springs, and for zipline adventure. The airport transfers were efficient. The island tour was exciting but we preferred to have a tour guide. The boatmen were helpful but are not very knowledgeable. Kawayanan Grill was not prepared and the portioning was small for us. The hotel staff was helpful but the place and facilities need improvement as well as tour coordination.

All in all, the Coron trip was good. Those who welcomed us in the hotel are hospitable. Although they still need to improve on their services. Except for Maquinit Hot Sping being closed eve of Dec 24,  our other trips are good especially the snorkeling activity, swimming, lagoons, and beach. The nature is very scenic and relaxing. We are looking forward in visiting Coron again some other time. Thank you for assisting us with our trip, we appreciate it.

We had a Blast! The city tour was exhausting but we had a lot of fun. We actually burned a lot of calories. :) The underground river was so magnificent. We were all at awe. I personally love the iwahig river firefly watching tour. Imagine! We get to eat dinner on a boat in the middle of the sea!? How cool was that!? :) It was great watching the fireflies flicker like Christmas lights. Sa totoo lang mas na enjoy ko pa ang Palawan Tour kasya sa SG at BKK tour namin. The sights and experiences in the natural wonders of the Cordilleras made the tedious overland journey from Manila worth the efforts!

A trek to Batad from The Saddles was a jewel and given time, I'd have loved to stay overnight in Batad. To enjoy the journey and the destinations, you had better be physically fit!

The Cordilleras especially Batad is a great place to visit for people of all ages! Apart from the fantastic panoramic views, it was also a refresher for me on rice padi. Thank you for organizing the tour for me. Best wishes.

Their breakfast buffet is a lot better than Century Park and Diamond... bathroom amenities complete so we don't have to bring any that we need. The tour was wonderful, although we did not get to see the Museums and church.  But it was ok.  The guide was nice as he took pictures of us and played music while we walk.  We experienced Kabigan Falls which was very wonderful.  Overall, our vacation was wonderful. Very smooth transaction and very accommodated.  Our trip to Hongkong is so great. Affordable and we dont have any problems dealing with their counterpart company there.  I will definitely get their other tour packages!.  Thanks Terry!

Thank u for a nice package u prepared for us in subic. It was ok & we didnt have to worry about transportation Since kuya jess was very accommodating. The hotel as i Understand was a budget hotel, so although it was not what I expected, it was still ok. Overall the experience was wonderful for me & my 2 daughters, I would definitely go to you again for our next trip.

We had an excellent trip in Coron. Shore to shore booked our trip with tours without hassle. When we had to change our booking, they were very accomodative and helped us rebook. We were able to go to Coron and enjoy the stay without worrying about anything as everything was prepared for. Shore 2 Shore Travel is great!  very helpful with the details, extends extra effort and replies very fast via email or text. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay, and will be back in Coron again soon, through the help of Shore to Shore.  I have not hesitations in recommending Terry and Shore to Shore to my friends for them to schedule their tours.
